One Day Symposium of PETRI Surakarta Infection 1 Series followed by more than 200 participants

The Seasonal and Re-emerging Disease Symposium One Day Symposium was held “INFECTION DISEASE SERIES 1” on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at HARRIS HOTEL SURAKARTA. The event was opened by Dr. Tatar Sumandjar, Sp.PD-KPTI, FINASIM as Head of the Division of Tropical Disease and Infection of RSDM Surakarta and Head of the Internal Medicine Faculty of Internal Medicine. Dr. Moewardi. The event was attended by Prof. H.M Bambang Purwanto, Sp. PD-KGH, FINASIM as chairman of the PAPDI Surakarta Branch, Staff of PPDS for Internal Medicine UNS and representatives from IDI Sukarakarta and about 200 more participants who are doctors from various regions.

This symposium program starts from 08.00 to 15.00. The speaker who gave material at this symposium was Dr. Tatar Sumandjar, Sp.PD-KPTI, FINASIM who presented the material on managing influenza, dr. Dhani Redhono, Sp. PD-KPTI, FINASIM who provided material on DHF. Material related to the provision of fluid therapy is given by Dr. Arifin, Sp. PD-KIC, FINASIM. In the next session, the material about Leptospirosis was delivered by Dr. Tatar Sumandjar, SpPD, KPTI, FINASIM and at the last session, there was material about the latest HIV management presented by dr. R. Satriyo BS, SpPD, FINASIM. The event was hosted by moderator Dr. Evi Nurhayatun Sp.PD, M.Kes, dr. Dhani Redhono, Sp. PD-KPTI, FINASIM, and Dr. R. Satriyo BS, SpPD, M.Kes, FINASIM. This was enough to invite the enthusiasm of the symposium this time regarding various updates about infectious diseases, as well as discussing the proper use of antibiotics in daily practice. It is expected that after participating in this symposium participants can apply their knowledge. As for the symposium, there will be a continuation in February 2019 with the theme “INFECTION DISEASE SERIES 2” which will bring about other infectious diseases which will certainly be very interesting to discuss.
