Expert Lecture : Ventilator

Surakarta – dr. Arifin, Sp. PD-KIC, FINASIM gave a lecture on Ventilators

In order to increase the knowledge and abilities of PPDS-1 Internal Medicine in the field of Critical Disease Management, Scientific Information and Information Technology, PPDS Interna Solo organizes Expert Lecture activities, with Topics Ventilator. Acting as a Critical Management expert, Dr. Arifin, Sp.PD-KIC, FINASIM, gave the lecture at the 4th Orchid Disease Discussion Room, on Friday, November 30, 2018, 13:00 – 17:00.

This lecture with the Ventilator Topic begins with an explanation of the type of respiratory failure according to the blood gas analysis and the patient’s clinical, which awaits will be adjusted to the settings on the ventilator. At the end of the lecture session, Dr. Arifin explained about the basic settings of the ventilator, starting from the type of engine ventilator, and setting the buttons and parameters, both PEEP, FiO2, Tidal Volume and Respiratory Rate. The Resident was very enthusiastic about the many questions raised by Dr. Arifin.

Lectures are followed by Resident of Internal Medicine, Pulmonology Resident and young doctor. Especially senior residents, this lecture can be a guide when hands on with a ventilator machine at HCU / ICCU / ICU both during stase at Moewardi and outside stase.
